In early 2020, after December 2019 outbreak in China, the WHO identified SARS.coV.2 as a new type of coronavrirus. The outbreak quickly spread around the world. Causes. Covid-19 is a disease caused by SARS-coV-2 that can trigger what doctors call a respiratory tract infection. It can affect your upper respiratory tract(sinuses,nose,and throat) or lower respiratory tract(windpipe and lungs) .                                   Pathophysiology. It spreads the same way other coronavrirus do.mainly through person-to-person contact infection range from mile to deadly SARS stands for Sudden Acute Respiratory Syndrome while MERS stands for Middle East Respiratory Syndromes.                        Signs and Symptoms, fever 99%, coughing, shortness of breath, trouble breathing31% fatigue70% chills sometimes with shaking, body aches35% headache sore throat loss of smell or taste nausea diarrhea. It can lead to pneumonia, respiratory failure, septic shock and death.                  Risk factors., obesity, sickle cell disease, type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease.                              Severe signs and symptoms.  Ongoing chest pain and pressure, can't wake up freely,bluish lips and face, confusion. Symptoms days ranges from few days (2days)  or many days( 14 days).       Complication  this is cause by a condition known as cytokinesis release syndrome or cytokinesis storm, whereby an infection triggers your immune system to fluid your bloodstream with inflammatory proteins called CYTOKINES. They kill tissue and damage your organs.                       Prevention. Wash your hands often with soap and clean water or clean them with alcohol-based sanitazer, practice social distancing, cover nose and mouth  In public places, don't touch your face with dirty hands, clean and disinfect places you touch often, Quarantine all those who have been expose to the disease, isolate all tested cases.                                   More so there is the use of the three Ts which are Test all cases, Trace all those who have been in contact with those tested positive, Treat all cases tested.
